1. What Orbylon is
Orbylon is software that makes a business readable, verifiable and payable by automated systems. It runs readiness scans of public websites, issues a signing identity bound to a domain you control, publishes a machine-readable storefront, signs and verifies documents and credentials, and helps you price an endpoint that a software agent can pay.
Orbylon is operated by an individual based in Quebec, Canada. There is no registered company. Postal mail reaches us at 555 Rue Chabanel O, Suite 1541, Montreal, QC H2N 2J2, Canada.
By using orbylon.com or any part of the service you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, do not use the service.
2. We never hold your money. This one is not a preference.
This is the most important clause in this document and it is a rule the software enforces, not a policy we intend to follow.
- Orbylon never holds, transmits or controls your funds. A payment from a customer or an agent settles directly to a wallet you control or to your own payment processor. It does not pass through us.
- Orbylon is not a bank, a money services business, a money transmitter, an exchange or a custodian, and does not act as one.
- Orbylon does not issue money, securities or investment products.
- Any credit, gift card, pass or token the software helps you issue is closed loop. It can be redeemed only with you, for your own goods and services. It is never redeemable for cash and never pays a return. The software refuses to create one that is.
- Orbylon provides software. It does not provide financial, legal or tax advice.
3. Your account and your domain
An identity belongs to a domain, and you get one by proving you control that domain. Proving control is the whole product, so we do not grant an identity any other way, for anyone, including for ourselves.
You are responsible for being legally able to operate the business you register and to take payment for it where you are. That is not something we can check for you and we do not claim to.
You are responsible for your signing secret. It is shown to you once. Anyone holding it can sign as your business, so treat it the way you treat a bank password. You can rotate it yourself at any time from your dashboard, which immediately invalidates the old one.
4. What a scan is, and what it is not
A scan reads only what is already public: the pages your website serves to anybody, your DNS records, and the well-known files at your domain. It does not log in, does not guess passwords, and does not read anything your server does not hand to an anonymous visitor.
A scan is an automated technical observation. It is not an audit, not a certification, not an endorsement, and not a statement about whether your business is good, solvent or honest. A grade describes what a machine can see today and nothing more.
We make sure AI assistants have what they need to recommend your business and pay you. We cannot make any assistant name you: ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude and the others decide on their own what they answer, the same way no honest company can promise you first place on Google.
A report opens for anyone who has its link, and we ask search engines never to list it. If you want a report about your own domain removed, prove you control the domain and write to us and we will remove it.
5. Signatures, proofs and credentials
When you sign a document, an invoice or a credential with your identity, you are making a statement that it came from you. You are responsible for what you sign.
A verified signature proves two things and only two: that the content has not changed since it was signed, and that it was signed by the key belonging to that domain. It does not prove that what the document says is true. We say so on the verification page itself, because a proof that is misread is worse than no proof.
6. Payments to you, and payments to us
Money your customers or agents send you settles on rails run by third parties, to a wallet or account you control. Their terms govern their part of it. We orchestrate, we never take possession.
What you pay us is the subscription listed at /pricing, charged in United States dollars by Stripe. The prices on that page are the only prices. If they change, the change applies at your next renewal and never retroactively.
A subscription started before this version of these terms keeps the price lock it started with: its price never goes up while it stays active.
14 days free. A business that starts a plan gets its first 14 days free. A card is needed to start, and nothing is charged during those 14 days. We email you 7 days before the first charge. Stop before day 15, from the billing screen, and nothing is charged. Unless it is cancelled before then, the free trial turns into the paid plan on day 15 and the first charge is made, whether or not the services were switched on. The free trial is offered once per business: never to a domain or a Stripe customer that already had a free trial or a subscription.
A free trial started under an earlier version of these terms keeps the length it started with: its first 30 days are free, we email you 7 days before its first charge, and unless it is cancelled before then it turns into the paid plan on day 31.
Bonus offer. A business that starts its plan within 24 hours of the first time the offer is shown for it, on our pricing page, its plan page or the page we made for it, also gets the Bonus offer, once per business. The 24 hours are counted once, from that first time, and are never reset. Once they have passed, the free trial is still offered; only the bonus is gone.
The Bonus offer holds: Price lock: while that business's subscription stays active on the same plan, billed monthly or yearly as before, its price never goes up. If the business moves to another plan, or between monthly and yearly, that plan's price on the day of the move applies and is then locked the same way. If the subscription stops and starts again later, the price in force that day applies. ChatGPT ads paid back: once the business has paid for one month of ChatGPT ads run by Orbylon, we pay back what it spent on those ads in that month, up to the amount the Bonus offer shows for the plan it is on that month, to the card it pays with. The ads run in the business's own OpenAI account; a business OpenAI does not accept cannot use this gift. It is held for the business until Orbylon's ChatGPT ads open, and it is paid once. Your business answers AI: while that subscription stays active, when an AI assistant asks Orbylon a question about the business, an AI paid for by Orbylon answers it from what the business has published with us, and says so when the answer is not there. Orbylon may limit how many questions it answers for one business in a month.
You can cancel at any time from the billing screen in your own dashboard, which opens Stripe's portal. Cancelling stops the next charge and leaves you with the service until the end of the period you already paid for. We do not require you to write to anyone to cancel.
Money-back promise. Within 30 days of the first payment for a business, on any plan, the account owner can ask for a full refund of that payment by writing to contact@orbylon.com, with no form and no questions. We refund to the original payment method, the subscription ends, and the services for that business switch off; the drafts and the public record stay. One refund per business. Refunds of any later charge are at our discretion and we will be reasonable about it.
If you pay through a CRM marketplace instead of our billing screen, the marketplace charges you, cancels through its own screens and refunds through its own process. The same promise holds: within 30 days of the first paid charge, write to us and we will ask the marketplace to refund that charge in full.
Refunds between you and your own customers are yours to handle. We do not hold those funds and cannot reverse a settled payment on a public chain, because nobody can.
7. Acceptable use
There is a separate page for this at /acceptable-use and it is part of these terms. The short version: nothing illegal, nothing that impersonates somebody else, and never using an Orbylon signature or badge to make an unverified claim look verified.
We can suspend an identity, a listing or an account that breaks that page. Where we can tell you why first, we will.
8. Availability and change
The service is provided as it is. We do not promise a specific uptime figure, because we are not going to put a number in a contract that we are not yet instrumented to defend.
Features change. A monthly plan that stops being worth its price to you is a plan you can cancel in two clicks, which is the honest form of that promise.
9. Liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, our total liability for any claim is limited to what you paid us in the twelve months before it. If you paid us nothing, that is the limit.
We are not liable for losses caused by a third-party rail, a blockchain, a wallet, a domain registrar, or your own handling of your signing secret.
Nothing here tries to exclude a liability that the law where you live does not let us exclude.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of Quebec, Canada, and the courts of Quebec have jurisdiction. If you are a consumer somewhere that gives you the right to your own local courts, this clause does not take that away.
